Welcome at
Casa Le Mura
Sam and Lele found this place in 2021, but long before us, it had already been shaped by the people of Anghiari.
Built in the 1600s, the space once belonged to the nuns who worked the land to provide food for the vicar’s house just up the hill. Over the years, the property became a meeting point for locals, a place to buy vegetables and host small community gatherings. That spirit of togetherness is something we’re proud to carry on today.
Casa Le Mura is more than a home.
It’s a hub for ideas, creativity, and new beginnings.
Both the physical space and this online platform are open to anyone looking to grow something of their own: a project, a business, an artistic path, or simply a way of life rooted in connection and purpose. We welcome dreamers, doers, and wanderers from around the world, offering an open door and shared ground where inspiration can take root.

Our People

Eleonora
Hi, I'm Eleonora Capasso – or Lele. I'm a freelance agronomist who believes in genuine connections and nurturing relationships. My approach to life and work is rooted in the principles of permaculture and agroecology. I design and care for gardens and small landscapes. I also train others to look after gardens, farmland, and forests. At home, I'm a passionate grower, always experimenting and learning from the land.
While much of my work happens at the desk, planning, researching, and coordinating; I always return to the field. Whether behind a screen or among the trees, I stay grounded, always learning from the land.

Sam
Hi, I’m Sam Church! I am British but I grew up in the Tuscan countryside. I have always had a passion for the natural world and building with my hands. Having broadened my knowledge and skill set after my studies and travels I decided to come back to what I know best and enjoy the most. I now dedicate my time to gardening, construction, woodwork and general handyman jobs.

Bea
Hi, I'm Bea. I'm a curious and cheerful person, always drawn to discovering new places, ideas, and ways of living. Over time, with my travels and studies, I’ve grown a deep interest in living in connection with others and nature—through simple, eco-conscious and respectful choices, embracing a way of living that values equity and celebrates diversity.
Now I’ve found a home at Casa Le Mura, where these values have taken shape in my everyday life. Here I can express myself through gardening, hands-on work, and especially cooking—where plant-based and fermented food, particularly sourdough bread, have become more than just passions: they’re a way of living and connecting with others.
Together with Laura, I’m growing a small fermentation project here in Anghiari, and slowly starting to put down roots.

Laura
Hi there! I'm Laura, originally from the southeast of Spain. You might be wondering what brings me here… Well, at 19, I set off on a semi-nomadic journey with Nuka, my adventure partner on four paws and my van, exploring different places in search of alternatives to conventional ways of living. This adventure led me to deeply connect with rural environments and sustainable projects, where I discovered a lifestyle more aligned with my values: simplicity, community, and a connection with nature.
That's how I found my way to Casa Le Mura—a project that shares core values I hold dear, such as caring for the land, permaculture, and food sovereignty. Nowadays, together with my partner Bea, we're also running a artisanal kombucha project, where fermentation, tradition, creativity, and health intertwine as a form of expression and collective care.
